Our Programs
Nawa brings together the region's emerging health leaders through three core programs designed to build meaningful collaboration and drive lasting change in Middle Eastern healthcare systems. Each program emphasizes credibility, practical impact, and proven methodologies.
Research Collaboration Mission
Teams composed of participants from different countries will travel together to a leading laboratory, take part in research that addresses shared regional health challenges, and gain essential scientific and research skills. Upon returning home, they will serve as Nawa ambassadors, advancing regional collaboration in health and science.
Public Health Regional Research
This program follows the in-person research mission and continues through remote collaboration in the months that follow, with participants working from their home countries.
Under the guidance of a public-health researcher, participants will conduct comparative analyses of regional health systems to identify shared challenges and opportunities for cross-border support - generating practical ideas and frameworks for meaningful health cooperation.
Summits & Educational Webinars
Connecting 20 Medical students and young researchers for a 1-3 day summit centered around solving shared regional health problems and creating cross border connections.
Hosting enriching online sessions on medical innovation and entrepreneurship, gaining skills as future leaders in regional healthcare.
Partnering with
Drawing inspiration from Columbia’s ICEP Global program, we adapted the vision to the Middle East. The ICEP (International Collaboration & exchange program) led by Dr. Anette Wu, has successfully connected healthcare students across borders for over a decade, demonstrating measurable outcomes in cross-cultural collaboration, research quality, and science diplomacy. By partnering with ICEP, and customizing it for our region's specific needs and challenges, Nawa ensures credible, effective programming that delivers real results for participants and their home institutions.
